Ukraine will stick to ‘red lines’ at Paris summit, parliament speaker says

KIEV, December 8. /TASS/: Ukraine will adhere to the "red lines" in its position that it will outline in Paris at the Normandy Four meeting with the leaders of Russia, Germany and France, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Dmitry Razumkov said on Sunday.

"On that day [Paris meeting - TASS] there should be no politics and struggle, there should be only a state position for the sake of Ukraine. "Red lines" will be observed and our territories will be returned," Razumkov wrote on his Facebook page, giving no further details.

Death toll in Odessa college fire rises to 10 - emergencies ministry

KIEV, December 8. /TASS/: The death toll in the December 4 fire at the economics, law and hospitality business college in the Ukrainian port city of Odessa has reached 10, the State Emergency Service reported on Sunday.

"A total of 10 people have been killed in the fire," the statement published on its website said. Earlier on Sunday, rescuers discovered two more bodies under the rubble. Earlier reports said eight people had died in the blaze.

Kiev approves scenario of Donbass reintegration at defense council’s closed-door meeting

KIEV, December 7. /TASS/: Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council has approved a scenario of Donbass reintegration on Saturday at a closed-door meeting held ahead of the Normandy Four summit, the council’s Secretary Aleksei Danilov said.

"Today, the National Security and Defense Council’s meeting approved one of the scenarios which will be implemented as the main one at the moment," he said quoted by the Ukrainian daily Gazeta as saying.

Ukraine’s Zelensky says wants meaningful result from meeting with Putin

KIEV, December 6. /TASS/: Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is scheduled to hold a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Normandy Four summit in Paris on December 9, Zelensky confirmed in a televised interview on the Ukraine channel on Friday.

"Yes, all the presidents will have bilateral meetings," he said when asked if the Russian and Ukrainian presidents would hold bilateral talks.

Ukraine lawmaker says he met Giuliani to discuss misuse of US taxpayer money in Ukraine

KIEV (Reuters) - An independent Ukrainian lawmaker said on Thursday he had met U.S. President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer in Kiev to discuss the alleged misuse of U.S. taxpayer money by Ukrainian state bodies.

In a statement on Facebook accompanied by photos of the meeting, Andriy Derkach said the two had discussed the creation of an interparliamentary group to fight corruption.

Ukrainian president, EC president discuss prospect of cooperation

KIEV, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation with the newly appointed President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen to discuss cooperation, the Ukrainian presidential press service said Tuesday.

Zelensky congratulated von der Leyen on her new role and wished her success.

"I hope that the European Union's support of reforms and protection of Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty will only continue during your presidency," Zelensky said.

Kiev forces violate ceasefire one time in Lugansk republic in 24 hours, militias say

LUGANSK, November 30. /TASS/: Ukraine’s forces violated ceasefire one time over the past 24 hours, opening fire at the territory of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic, the LPR’s mission to the Joint Ceasefire Control and Coordination Center said.

"The shelling targeted an area in the village of Logvinovo," the LuganskInformCenter reported, citing the militias. According to the report, the Kiev forces opened fire from anti-tank grenade launcher.
